President Obama’s Emotional Farewell to Attorney General Eric Holder

During the portrait unveiling ceremony for outgoing U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, President Obama gave an emotional, heartfelt send off to his high-ranking cabinet member and close friend.

Holder was the leader of the Department of Justice for the first six years of Obama’s Presidency. The two men made history together, becoming the first African Americans to serve in their respective positions.

Holder will soon be replaced by Loretta Lynch, pending her confirmation by the US Senate.
